Biography

Lydia Marcy, born 3 Jan 1772, was a daughter of Zebulon Marcy Sr. (1744-abt.1834) and Jerusha (Conant) Marcy (1743-1819). The location of her birth is uncertain; the only reference source evident to date states that she was born in the Wyoming Valley (Wyoming or Luzerne Counties), Pennsylvania ^[1], where her birth family had settled after relocating from Connecticut.

She married 16 May 1791 at Tunkhannock (Wyoming County), Pennsylvania, Cyrus Avery. They had 13 children, born at Tunkhannock:
