She married Edward Franklin Farmer, a widower with four children. She and Edward added seven additional children She died on 31 Oct 1945 from drinking contaminated water. She is buried in Muldraugh Cemetery in Lebanon, KY near her husband, who died in 1952.
Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Pearl Mardis Farmer, 49 years of age, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Muldraugh's Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. D.L. Druien in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Farmer was a member of the Muldraugh's Hill Baptist Church, which she joined at 16 years of age.
She was married to E.F. Farmer in 1915 and to this union 2 sons and 5 daughters were born.
Surviving are: Mrs. Goldie Farmer, of Louisville, Mrs. Thelma Richerson, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Taylor Co.; Miss Myrtle Farmer, of Marion Co.; Pvt. Harold Farmer, in Japan. Besides her husband and children, she also leaves 4 stepchildren. She also leaves 4 brothers and sisters: Mrs. Will Bright, Louisville; Lemuel Mardis and Turner Mardis, Taylor Co.; and Mrs. Flora Nolley, Morristown, IN. The pallbearers were Alvin Farmer, Lawrence Raffety, Joe Shane, Charlie Wise, Elmer Smith and Linus Bright.[1]
