Biography
William Markham married Cecelia Lexington, daughter of Richard de Lexington and Matilda de Cauz. After her three brothers died without issue, Cecelia and her elder sister Alice inherited the lands and possessions of their father.
During the reign of Henry III, William held a knights fee in the Honour of Tickhill (the collective lands of Roger de Busli)
