Hi Lynn,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

Hi!

I see you have, or plan to upload a GEDCOM. Here are a few quick links that you will find useful, and answer a lot of your questions:

step-by-step of the process including screenshots.

Please keep in mind that our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Thank you for taking the time to go through your gedmatches.

Good Luck,

Fred

I have been poking around genealogy websites for more more than 15 years, searching records as they become available and creating family trees for friends.

My interest in genealogy research started as a way to know more about my grandparents and great grandparents that had passed away and uncovering old photographs to piece together family stories and decipher what was true and what was left untold through the generations. I am adopted and romanticize about my authentic genealogy and stories of how I came into the world and who I might have been if circumstances were different. Nature vs Nurture. I am drawn to the idea that people are connected to specific places based on past ancestor experiences and am curious how individual paths cross over generations that provide meaning and purpose.
