Death of this Moses in 1854 is confirmed. Julia is among the children listed, but Deborah (the only child mentioned of Marks-3595, and my interest) is not on a list I found linked to the Find a Grave memorial, although both are listed on some trees. I have found some Jewish records and will in due course add them to Deborah's profile. [https://synagoguescribes.com/ SynagogueScribes.com say that it was this Moses who married Rachel. Other sources say that his mother was Mary Blackwell. Doug Laidlaw, 21:59, 31 December 2019
7 June 1854 is the date of son Benjamin Marks' marriage to Mary Aaron.[3] Without a source to confirm this death date, I'm inclined to believe Moses died in 1844. Lowe-866 02:51, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
Moses Marks has Jewish Roots.
Moses was born about 1791. Moses's death was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1844 in the City of London district.[4]
Moses Marks was listed as late of 96 Cannon Street, pen and quill dealer, by his son David Marks, bookseller at 1 Bury Street, who was granted freedom of the city admission papers on 30 October 1856.[5]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Moses by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Moses:
Marks-3595 and Marks-548 appear to represent the same person because: The proposed death date 7 June 1854 cannot be confirmed, and is the date of his son Benjamin's marriage. We know both profiles represent Moshe ben Mordecai Marks, so they should be merged.
"The proposed death date 7 June 1854 cannot be confirmed," I seem to recall that I found evidence that confirmed the 1854 death date, so they are two distinct people, but I will need to look it up again. It would be unfortunate but not impossible if he died on Ben's wedding day.
