Notes

Richmond & Westmoreland Counties were parent counties of King George County, formed 1721. William McBee's first land transaction was in King George Co in 1722. A later transaction [grant of Lazarus Taylor in 1746] shows this land to probably have been a part of Prince William Co when it was formed from King George & Stafford in 1730. Fauquier was then formed out of Prince William Co in 1759. No relationship is known between William McBee and John McBee that married Martha Kingcart. Thomas Kingcart is said to have been from Calvert Co, MD. Maryland is also traditionally seen as the place where William McBee was born.
