Biography

"Ken" was born in 1923. He served in the Marine Corps in WWII (Guadalcanal, New Britain, Woodlark Island and Okinawa). Going to college on the G.I. Bill, he received bachelor's and master's degrees in history from the University of Iowa in 1949 and 1950. He was a history and government teacher for 35 years at Roosevelt and Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Ia. He was an avid gardener. He passed away about 2001.[1]
