Ethel Marshall was born at 53 York Road, St Pancras, Middlesex in 1903. She was the daughter of Frank Marshall and Harriet Girling. [1]
In 1911, Ethel was living with her parents and four siblings in St Pancras St Judes Gray's Inn Road, Middlesex. She was 8-years-old and attending school. [2]
In 1920, Ethel emigrated to Canada with her mother and three siblings (Frank, Beatrice and Rosina). Their ship the Empress of France arrived in Quebec City, Ontario, in July that year. [3]
On 14th May 1921, Ethel married William Norton. The marriage took place in Picton, Prince Edward, Ontario. [4]
In 1935, Ethel was residing at 77 Buckingham Street, Oshawa, Ontario. [5]
In 1949, Ethel was residing at 323 Verdun Road, Oshawa, Ontario. [6]
Ethel passed away in 1980 and was buried in Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens in Whitby, Durham, Ontario. [7] She was buried across from her daughter, Violet Irene Norton Blodgett.
