Biography
Emily was apparently well versed in herbal medicine and always helping the neighbours when they were ill. One day was she was hanging out the wash, someone came to get her to help a neighbour who was suddenly taken ill. She dropped the wash, jumped the small garden fence. Then she turned to her daughter and said "I think I've torn something inside," and died shortly after.
She was at Edwards Cemetery, Herald, Wise County, Virginia[1]
