Bonjour Real,

Because my French is not good, could you please send correspondence/emails to me in English. I have found your connection to me, and want to research further. Very interested because I see so many connections and particularly, my father's 'Indian' DNA . (My mother also had connections). I have tried to change it myself, which I have done on Ancestry, and it cannot be done here on WikiTree!

Hope to hear from you in English soon.

Hi!

This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.

Thanks and have a great day!

Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.

Yes, still interested. Have not been able to do much research ltely; so will try to continue soon. I have much research about my husband's Sicilian/Italian roots. I have found some info on an Italian web site. Was able to Google the street where he was born and he recognized the Main street when I showed him the video. He also recognized (as did I) the house he was born in even though the front door and etc. was modernized, etc. I have in contact with someone who has much info. in the form of documents, etc. (which are very difficult to get from the Italian sites) from Family Tree. She noticed my information on Ancestry.com.

Ciao!

Cool. I will put you on the Islands team if that's okay. Just curious. What Italian website did you use? I would love to see if I could find the houses where family members were born. My great-aunt gave me a couple addresses. Nothing more.

Ciao! The web site I used was most likely Google search. It brought up the town and from there, I was able to search names, etc. I even found the cemetery where the family was buried. Not sure if it is still so easy to research. Covid and the lack of a PC (mine is unusable, long story), stopped my research. Have been using my phone! However, last week purchased a new laptop and will soon get serious once again about my ancestral research.

I will check the Island group.

By the way, I do have most of my research on Ancestry.

Not a problem, Jeannette. Here's the Islands page if you want to check it out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Italy_Islands_Team

Great job using what you can to research. I hope your comp issues are resolved. Keep up the good work and good luck with the new laptop!

Hi Jeannette: I see we are 7th. cousins. Thanks for picking my G2G for the best answer back on July 20th. It was the Quebec Clergy genealogy one by Danielle Liard. Best wishes, Jim

Hi Jeannette

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Karen ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Hello Jeannette,

On behalf of the Acadia Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. Please let me know if you are still active, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the project, or a sub-project, within the last two months.

All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Karen ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Thank you for your kind comments, Jeannette. I enjoyed sorting out the military records and updating the profile. I have a soft spot for those brave soldiers.

Hi Jeannette, I checked on a lark because our names are almost the same and apparently we're 9th cousins. Greetings!

HI Jeannette, thank you for your sweet note. If you need help breaking through Acadian or Louisiana brick walls or finding sources, please ask! I love mysteries.

Your Thibodeau line comes from Spain? I have Thibodeau as well but have never heard this. I'd be interested in the info if you are game for sharing?

Yes. FamilyFinder is on Familytreedna. If you log on you should be able to see your family finder results. You may want to add your kit to wikitree.

Hi. I matched you on familyfinder. But I already knew we were cousins!
