Abraham's first wife is unknown. His children were all adults by the time he traveled to Montgomery, Virginia in 1795 to marry Sarah "Sally" Martin, daughter of Johnson Martin,[1][2][3][4] who appears to have been a relative of some unknown degree. It is possible that Sarah was his niece or a first cousin, once removed.
