John Martin was baptized 4 Oct 1761 at Saint Paul's Church in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In 1832, John's was the first signature on a "Petition of Fishermen Ketch Harbor and Portuguese Cove, Praying that Gulsh's Cove Cape Cove and Gill Cove may be reserved for the common use of fishermen".
John died in 1834.
