Biography

Ursule Martin was born on 9 October 1733 at Annapolis Royal, Acadia. She was christened on 12 October 1733 also at Annapolis Royal.[1][2] She was the daughter of Étienne Martin and Marie Jeanne Comeau. Her sponsors were François Brun and Marie Martin.

She married Laurent Doucet on 16 January 1752 at Annapolis Royal. Witnesses were Joseph Brun, Joseph Doucet, François Doucet and Jean Baptiste Martin. There was a dispensation for 3-4 consanguinity.[3][4]
