Biography

Elizabeth was born before 1765 in Virginia.[1][2] She was the daughter of Jacob and Sary (Sarah Elizabeth Pope) Martin, originally of Fauquier County, Virginia.[3]

She married Berryman Smith (license issued by Fauquier County on 31 August 1785).[4]

They had eleven children,[3] including Parthenia.[5]

She died after 8 April 1844 in Fountain County, Indiana, and was buried in Osborn Prairie Cemetery, Stone Bluff, Fountain County, Indiana.[2][6] No gravestones exist for her or her husband, Berryman.[3]
