Biography

No baptism has been found for him. he is given the approximate age of 78 on his funeral record in 1773, but his parents only marry in 1700 and there are siblings born in 1700 and 1701 with no twins. DOB estimated.

He married by contract in 1725:

Contrat de mariage de Pierre Martin, fils de Louis Martin et de Louise Raté; et Françoise Lebel, veuve de feu Charles Saucié (13 mai 1725). Vol XIV pg 32 Notaire Étienne Janneau[1]

Donation de Louis Martin et sa femme Louise Ratté, à Pierre Martin, leur fils (31 juil. 1734). Vol XIV pg 48 Notaire Étienne Janneau[1]

Pierre décède le 19 janvier 1773, inhumée le 20 à Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière[2]. On lui donne 78 ans sur l'acte
