Charlotte Susannah Martin was born Jan 24, 1865 daughter of Robert and Narcissa (Pool) Martin of Grandview Washington, Ohio 5 miles from New Matamoras located on the Ohio, River. Her father was a farmer and common day laborer and her mother gave birth to 10 children and 9 were living by 1900 Census and we must ask, what is the correct birth date?

Charlotte died on Jan 16, 1930 we have her death certificate signed by her son Clarence Oliver. Her age is 64 years, 6 months and 22 days and birth date being Jun 24, 1869, but which one is correct?

The 1880 Census answers this question, her birthday is on June 24, 1865 and her younger sister Susannah was born 1869. Narcissa's age for Charlotte (40), Susannah (44) and Irwin (50).

Charlotte gave birth to 5 adult children Clarence 1888,Temperence N 1890, Charles William 1892, Earnest R H 1899 and Florence 1903.
