Mary (Polly) Martin was born in Windham, Connecticut, on 8 October 1777,[1][2] a daughter of Aaron Martin and Eunice Flint. The Windham birth record calls her Mary, but most later records call her Polly (which was a common nickname for Mary).
Polly Martin and Joel Bass were married in Windham, Connecticut, on 22 December 1796. That same year they went to Williamstown, Vermont, where they settled on a farm, and where their eleven children were born.[3]
She passed away on 4 December 1849 in Williamstown, Vermont.[4]
