  2. St. Pierre de La Patrie, Compton, Québec parish diary entry describing the baptism of "Louis Napoleôn Martin" on December 29, 1878. The entry states that Louis Napoleôn was born on the 22nd. It also states that his parents are "Charles Martin" and "Marie Bissonnette". The entry includes the somewhat unusual notation "(St. J.B. d'Emberton)" in the margin just below Louis Napoleôn Martin's name and the body of the notation states that possibly Marie Bissonette but more likely the family is "de la paroisse de St. Jean-Baptiste d' Emberton" ("from the parish of St. Jean-Baptiste of Emberton"). See attached image.
  3. St. Jean-Baptiste, Chartierville, Québec parish diary entry describing the marriage of "Louis-Napoleôn Martin" and "Marie-Adèle Clara Baillargeon" on July 3, 1899. The entry states that Louis-Napoleôn's parents are "Charles Martin" and "Marie Bissonnette". See attached image.
