Buried at New Salem Cemetery Lincoln County, Kentucky.
Chester C. Martin, 79, of the South Fork community, Hustonville, died Thursday, July 29, 1999, at his residence. Born in Lincoln County January 22, 1920, he was a son of the late Henry Edward and Almedia Sluder Martin. He was a farmer and member of South Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Holton and Katherine Beatty, both of the South Fork community; a sister, Marie Gifford, New Salem; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Essie Smith Martin; three brothers, Everett, Zenus and Bert Martin; a sister, Ellena Luster. Funeral services were 2 p. m. Saturday, July 31, at the chapel of Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home, Waynesburg, with Bro. Jerry Wilcher officiating. Burial was in New Salem Cemetery in the McKinney community.
