Biography

Giles Martin was a Private in the CSA North Carolina Troops, Infantry Company E, 20th Regiment, organized at Faison, North Carolina, April 16, 1861. Giles was wounded in the hip by a mini-ball at Gettysburg, which he carried for life. He teased the kids by bending over, touching his head and saying, "Feel my mini-ball."
