Sometime after Albert's father John died, his mother Margaret or Martha Ann moved to Western Australia, bringing Albert with her.

Albert married Rosina and they had at least their first couple of children before he went away to war.

He served in the AIF in World War 1, enlisting in 1816. His military serial number was 3178. He served b in the 51st battalion Australian Imperial Forces.

Albert's youngest brother George was killed at Belgium in 1917.

Albert had six children altogether with his wife Rosina.

Albert continued to appear in the electoral rolls with the occupation of boot maker through to 1949.

Albert died on 27 July 1954, as noted from family notices in the West Australian Newspaper the following day.
