James "Harvard" was born on the 20th day of August, 1870 in Hopewell, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada.
•1871 Census, James Harvard Martin is 8mths old in April of 1871.[1]
His Parents were Luther Cleveland Martin & Mary Elizabeth Coo ..and recorded as Coe or possibly Coonan since there are Coonan living close to this family.
Harvard work as Ship deck hand which sailed out to various ports in eastern Canada and the United States. To name a few ~Nova Scotia and Massachusetts.
•1st Wife) James "Harvard" Martin married Amelia Jane "Emily" Button (abt.1893 or early 1894 in either Nova Scotia or New Brunswick and still being researched)

J. Harvard Martin Gravestone has 3 children engraved on another side of the stone itself, two of the children are from this marriage with Amelia Jane Button.

Harvard ag37, married again to Estella Maud Smith on the 31st day of December, 1907 in Lower Cape, Hopewell, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada. She was born in Lower Cape, New Brunswick and the daughter of Joshua & Martha Smith. She went by her middle name Maud.
In 1909, their first child Effie Louise Martin is born on the 30th of January, in Lower Cape, Hopewell, Albert, NB. .

Occupation In 1923, Harvard is a Deck hand on a Tug Boat at port of Boston Massachusetts.[9]
Harvard died from a ruptured intestine while on at dry deck at port in Saint John, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
