Biography
Little is known of Catherine Marvell; some sources contest her existence, saying the wife of Jonathan West's maiden name was "unknown". However, as both Jonathan West and Mrs. Catherine West are mentioned in John Marvell Sr.'s will in 1708, it is probable that he was referring to his daughter and son in law. One family source with good references assumes this and it is the one I have used for this profile.[1]
Catherine and Jonathan West are not credited anywhere with having had surviving children and heirs.
