Mary (Unknown) Reynolds
Speculation has been made on Mary's last name being Ashall and she being the second wife of Thomas Reynolds, her sister Elizabeth being his first wife. This was based on a will by George Ashall dated September 1, 1671 naming his daughters "Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Reynolds and Mary and Susanna". However, on June 2, 1680 his property was divided between James Peeters and his wife Elizabeth, Jacob Johnson and his wife Mary, and Simon Handcock and his wife Susan. Apparently Thomas Reynolds had either divorced Elizabeth or he had died, and Elizabeth is the one who remarried to a man named Peeters. Her sister Mary was never married to Thomas she was married to Jacob Johnson. This will and estate records prove therefore, that the Mary given as a parent in the baptismal records of St. Peter's parish register can not be the daughter of George Ashall.
