Research Notes

From his father's will, dated 17 March 1741: 'I give and bequeath to my three grandchildren, children of my son Hezedkah deceased, namely Melatiah Mason, Hezekiah Mason, Phebe Mason, the sum of seventy pounds in money or bills of the .... is to say, I give to Meltiah the sum of thirty five pounds and to Hezekiah the sum of thirty pounds, and to Phebe I give five pounds which is the above said sum of seventy pounds to be paid by my executor on my wife's decease and as they come to lawful age'^[3]
