Biography
John Mason was born about 1610 most likely in Lincolnshire, England. He was characterized as "Gent." of St. Swithians, Lincoln, whose will leaving his son Martin his seal ring, was proved in 1675.
John is thought to have been a Rector in the Church of England based on the fact that when his son, Martin, was incarcerated for his affiliation with the Society of Friends it was in Lincoln Castle, not a place to jail a commoner.
There is no record of his wife. There could have been more children but only one son, Martin, has records.
