--- Mary MASON (1813-1903), daughter of Thomas G. and Catharine (BYARD) MASON, was born 9 October 1813 in Onondaga Co., New York. She married 10 December 1830 at Troy, Perry Co., Indiana to Harvey SPILMAN; and she died 17 July 1903 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. --- In 1895, M. SPILLMAN, age 82, born Ohio [sic], was living in the household of her son-in-law and daughter, F. S. and A. MEARS [Frederick and America MEARS]. - Minnesota State Census, Faribault, Rice County, Minnesota, 1895, 2nd Ward, Dist. 16. --- According to their death certificates, Harvey and Mary (Mason) SPILMAN were originally buried at Laymans Cemetery otherwise known as Minneapolis Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery on Lake Street near Hiawatha Ave in Minneapolis. When Lake Street was widened in May 1913 their bodies were moved and reinterred at Lakewood Cemetery Section 11, Lot 1063.
