Biography

Note of caution

This person is the same possibly non-existent person as Massey-2224.

Her parents (in January 2024) are REAL, but notice that the same primary record is also behind Massey-2217 in the previous generation!

Her existence as wife to William de Carrington was apparently first proposed by Copinger (p.21). That evidence needs checking.

This profile is currently connected (via her husband) to what the great genealogist J H Round called the "The Carington Imposture", a famous genealogical myth connecting modern Smith families to the medieval Caringtons. At least some of the people in that pedigree never existed and others are represented inaccurately. Further information:

Massey-2224 and Massey-2109 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly intended to be the same person even if the existence of that person is not yet clear.
