DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:

Any source for this profile? Any location, country, or even just a continent?

Michael, I'm trying to get this record merged with Massie-902 and have sent a merge proposal request. I'm using data that I copied from my Father's family tree program into RootsMagic 7. His primary focus was on the male Campbell ancestors. Being new to this I'm making some mistakes and created this record before I discovered the match.

Danny,

There should be a source before a merge can be created. So the birth certificate, the marriage deed, something like that. The other profile unfortunately has a paywall link and not the source description. So it is impossible to compare the two.

A marge will also mean that you will need to merge George Washington Campbell (abt.1796-abt.1872) and George Washington Campbell (1789-1853) as those are the husbands. But those are different profiles, see the dates.

Also [[Wright-4425|Francis Jane (Wright) Campbell (abt.1761-1842)] and Mary Polly (Massie) Campbell (1796-1817) should then be the same, but the dates and sources on those are different.

The only way to confirm what is true here is through the sources.

I will reject the match for now, please contact the profile manager of Mary Polly (Massie) Campbell (1796-1817) with proof that they are the same. Also note that this is a global tree, so chances are very large that names might be the same, but the profiles are not.

Michel

My question is with regard to the empty field for location and subsequent lack of sources. Without that information a merge will most probably not be approved by the other profile manager.
