Biography

Born Sept. 3, 1918 in Tiverton Township, Coshocton county, she was the daughter of the late Samuel W. Matheny and Myrtle Leona (Bickle) Matheny-Hint.

In December 1935 she first was married to Howard D. Fesler. On June 30, 1939, she married Raymond Wilson who died in October 1959. On June 5, 1960, she married George H. Stockman who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1994.

She was employed in the dietary department of Massillon City Hospital for five years. She was cook at River View High School for two years after which she was the cafeteria manager at Coshocton High School for eight years until retiring in May 1981.

She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of Coshocton and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Surviving are two sons, Dwight Fesler and wife Judy of Coshocton, S. Woodrow Wilson and wife Imogene of Warsaw; two daughters, Nancy Berkshire and husband Kenneth of Thomasville, Ga., and Delores Jane Potter and husband Ronald of Frazeysburg; 10 grandchildren, Marc Fesler, and Jonalee Potter and husband Terry, all of Coshocton, Jeffrey Wilson and wife Jodi of Cincinnati, Julie Wilson, and Jandee Carroll and husband Mark, all of Columbus, Douglas Lapp and wifre Kim of Morehead, Ky., Jackie Guinther and husband Jeffrey, and Robert Burton and wife Clara, all ot Thomasville, Ga., Deana Dever and husband Douglas, and Shane Potter, all of Newark; 15 great-grandchildren; a step-brother, Lewis Allen Hunt and wife Louise of Coshocton; three stepsisters, Millie Stockman and husband C. John of Vail, Ariz., JoAnn Jones and husband Ralph of Cherokee Village, Ark., and Grace Stockman and husband Frank of Hayward, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leona B. Lapp on Oct. 17, 1980; and two stepsisters, Betty Vaream and Geneva Ruby.
