I am Katherine Joyce Matlock, the second born child and eldest daughter of William Daniel "Danny" Matlock and Donna Joyce Owens. I grew up without my birthfather in my life. He was a very toxic person. An abusive alcoholic who my mother divorced in 1966 and silently took my siblings and I away from. My childhood was surrounded with pedophile neighbors, strangers and an uncle. My mother would remarry in my early teen years to another abusive pedophile who used the Church to hide his true nature.

At the age of 17, in my senior year of high school, I married Douglas Glen Wigley Jr. on 22 September 1981 at the Courthouse in Clarksville, Arkansas, He would be stationed at Yokota Air Base in Japan and I would be joining him having arrived in Japan at the Yokota Air Base in the winter of 1982. It was my intention to continue my last year of high school, so I enrolled myself in at Yokota High School on the Air Base. Having to meet Yokota High School's credit requirements in order to graduate, I had to attend the school a little longer and didn't graduate in 1982 like she was supposed to when living State side.

While living in Japan, I was able to partake in some modeling events around Tokyo. Was a cheerleader supporting the Nagoya Baseball team in the Chūbu region of Japan and played a role in the Japanese TV Series known as Western Police (Seibu Keisatsu (西部警察, Western Police)). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seibu_Keisatsu), where my character was the love interest of a member of the Japanese mafia and was is killed by a flame gun and my body found burnt on a beach.

While married and attending Yokota High, I became pregnant November 1982 with our first child, a son. May 1983 I received a diploma from the Yokota High School and our son came three months later on July 21, 1983. In 1984 we would move to Sierra Vista, Arizona where my husband was stationed at Ft. Huachuca and our baby boy would learn to walk. While state side I flew my son and I to Florence, Colorado where I visited with my maternal grandparents, mom, siblings and met my paternal grandparents and some of that side of the family. 1985 came about and my husband was sent back to Yokota Air Base where he was stationed another 4 years. March 1985 my paternal grandfather passed away and miscarried our second child.

After my husband's second tour of Japan was completed, he was assigned to Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. We arrived March 1988 were our second child was conceived. He was born at the Base Hospital on December 30, 1988 in Nebraska. Again 0n November 19, 1990 a third son was also born at the base hospital in Nebraska.

I was a Stay-At-Home mother! I loved gardening and had a strong interest in essential oils, herbs, massage. Because we homeschooled our son's, I was able to take Horticulture classes at the Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska in the evening and weekends where I earned an A.S.S. in Horticulture and an A.S.S. in Landscape Design. I also achieved the Nebraska Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and received an Award for her achievement from the Governor of Nebraska.

My life path in life changed and I found myself on my own as my husband and I had some rough patches I could no longer deal with. We split apart for a while. I moved on in my life, learning about myself and what I wanted. Found the joy of singing and performing, which was fun. Worked hard for what I wanted! Bought a house and got my Diploma for Massage Therapy from the Missouri College in Ft. Smith in 2006. Then the migraines hit! They hit me hard. I had remarried in 2007 and divorced 8 months later. I was angry and depressed.

My 1st husband now retired from the Air Force and I were still talking because we had our sons to raise. He came to Missouri where I was living, to pick up our sons and rest from a trip he had taken for work. He witnessed my depression, migraines and asked me to come back to help him on his place. He had purchased 20 acres in Arkansas near his parents and felt the land would help heal me. I was reluctant but I needed this.

Doug and I remarried June 19, 2008 at the Courthouse in Mena, Polk, Arkansas. We have grown as individuals and as a couple, having forgave each other and our own persons for the ignorance and mistakes of our youthful selves. We have witnessed each other's personal pains, the growth of our sons, the blessings of a beautiful daughter-in-law and a granddaughter! He is with me as I experience the aging of my mother without the love and support of my siblings, who are toxic, abusive and just like their father.

My husband is my rock! I am forever thankful for him and the love and support of my family. Now I engage in horticulture and genealogy! I am thankful to all my family members who have participated in sharing their DNA. Without them we could not break down the walls of some of our lines and set us on the correct paths to our ancestors.

Hi Kathy, regarding the faked Crocketagne ancestors - that's all well and good to know. However, given that the evidence of Scandinavian origins has emerged, can we determine who Martha Jean Montgomery (ca. 1674-1774) married to a certainty? An expansive list of descendants have Unknown origins without a set of parents for Martha's husband.

Also, the linked ancestor Joseph Louis Crocketagni Crockett (d. 1746) [brother-in-law by marriage of Martha] who married Sarah Gilbert Stewart (ca. 1680-1724): That line also descends from the fake Antoine and Louise generation, and leads to the "real life" King of the Wild Frontier Davy Crockett. . .

Thus, it would be great if an applied analysis could help us to identify who Joseph and James' real parents were.

Thanks for making that clear, Kathy. The so-called French "ancestors" that have been attributed to the Crockett family have zero credibility anyway. It just looks like someone with no knowledge of naming patterns invented it all. Do you think it would be possible to "prune" the family tree by disconnecting the wrong ancestors?
good going Kathy...
