Biography
Thomas Matthews was the son of John Matthews and Cordelia Hichens and one of 5 children. He was baptised on 10 May 1827 at Zennor.
He married in 1853 to Mary Ann Boase in the county of Cornwall. The married record states the marriage took place in the Parish of Cornish Telegraph. They had 12 known children during their marriage.
Thomas farmed with his brother Richard and siblings at Tremeadow in the parish of Zennor. By 1881 he had his own farm of 28 acres.
Thomas Matthews died in 1910 age 82 at Tremeadow and was buried1 on January 30. No more info is currently available for Thomas Matthews. Can you add to his biography?
