Biography
John, son of Robert Matthews was born in 1781. He was baptised on 10 March 1781 at Madron.
John married in 1807 at Morvah to Cordelia, daughter of Richard Hichens and Cordelia James. Richard Hichens and Kitty Hollow stood as witnesses to their marriage.
Six known children were born in their marriage.
John Matthews passed away in 1830. Cordelia lived to the age of 92 and died in 1878.
