MATTHEWS, Troy Fraser - 40, Pleasant Street, Springhill, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2004, in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Fraser "Butch" Matthews and Patricia Callahan. Troy was very musically inclined, teaching himself to play the guitar. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed drawing, poetry, children, travelling to Alaska, his friends and family. He is survived by his son, Robin, Amherst; brothers, Jamie (Valerie), Springhill; Joey (Laura), Darrell (Charlene), both of Toronto; Travis, Alaska; sisters, Darlene, Springhill; Barbie, Moncton; T.C. and Tina, Alaska; Kimberly Sue, Iowa; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Trisha. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, August 22, in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 23, Rev. Elizabeth Davies officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. Donations made to Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
