Research Notes
Since the 1870 federal census in Catasauqua shows Samuel and Mary with two sons, Samuel, Jr. (Age 4) and Griffith (Age 2), both of whole were born in Wales, it seems that the four migrated during the year 1868 through 1870. This is later confirmed in the 1900 census, which lists their year of immigration as 1870. Unfortunately, the census was taken 7 Nov 1870, so the dates of arrival are between 1 Jan 1870 and 7 Nov 1870.
