George was born in 1872. He immigrated to New Zealand with his parents and siblings in 1874 aboard the Sussex.[1] He married Julia McKerrow in 1899.[2] She passed away shortly after. He then married Annie Spence in 1902.[3] He passed away in 1926.[4] George Mattingly is buried, as is his mother Amy and his wife Annie Rae (nee Spence), in the Anderson Bay Cemetery, Duneden, Otago, New Zealand. He was buried on the 19th of November.[5]
