Rachael Mattingly born about 1789 in Washington County, Kentucky. Died 12 September 1863 in Springfield, Washington County, KY.

Information on Rachael Mattingly at www.findagrave: Rachel (Mattingly) Corbett was the daughter of Joseph "the Wheelwright" Mattingly and Hessina (Hinton (Mattingly) She was raised on a farm in what is now Marion County, Kentucky on the waters of Hardin's Creek near St. Mary, Kentucky. Rachel died intestate in the Manton area of Washington County, Kentucky. She left the following probate records in the County Clerk's Office in Springfield, Kentucky; Schedule, Will Book #K, page 265; Sale Bill, Will Book #K, Page 268; Inventory of Estate, Will Book #L, page 472; List of Estate Sales, Will Book #L, page 473; Commissioner's Settlement, Will Book #M, page 8; and Commissioners Settlement, Will Book #M, page 190. Her burial entry on page 793 of St. Rose Sacramental register III says she was aged 70 years and was buried in St. Rose cemetery on September 12, 1863. Her sons George Harrison Corbett, 1831-1895, and Ignatious Corbett, 1825-1899, are buried in this cemetery.

KY, This day personally came before me, a Justice of the Peace for Washington County, Ignatious Mattingly and made Oath that Rachael Mattingly who is about to intermarry with John Corbet is above the age of 21 years given under my hand this 30th day of September 1814. signed A. C. Gibbins.
