From data that Ruth Vera Welch had for this family and that said this Francis Mauldin's will was probated 20 Feb. 1734

Francis was born .

Francis Mauldin paid for passage and departed England on the ship Virginia Factor commanded by Mr. Robert Joles, bound for Maryland. He arrived in Maryland Oct 1680.

28 April 1681 Francis Mauldin of Calvert County had 250 acres surveyed. He named the property "Prevent Danger". [H. D. Richardson Vol 1 MD 975.2 R52] The area listed as Battle Creek Area and Cyprus Swamp.

Francis Mauldin a Capt of Militia deeded one acre of land of his "Prevent Danger" property to All Saints Parrish Port Republic Christ Church MD. He was named as one of the first Vespers. First court held 7 Feb 1692.

His daughter Elizabeth Mauldin married David Delemere Port Republich Christ Church 27 Feb 1701 Calvert Co., MD. She was probably born c 1683 Calvert Co., MD.

In 1702, Francis Mauldin bought 700 acres from William Dare in Cecil County, MD. Land later listed as Bull Mountain and Mauldin Mountain.

18 Apr 1727 Ann Mauldin daughter of Francis Mauldin listed as a relative of Douglas Brammer. It is highly possible that one of Francis's wives maiden name was Brammer.

03 Jun 1727 Cecil Co., MD Ann Mauldin married Zebulon Hollingsworth.

03 Jul 1729 Cecil Co., MD Francina Mauldin of Mr Francis Maulden marries Samuel Bayard.

01 Oct 1732 Will of Maj Francis Mauldin. lists children - Francis (Capt) Mauldin, Benjamin Mauldin, Joseph Mauldin, Son-in-law Zebulon Hollingsworth [Ann Mauldin], [4 other daughters also not named] Son-in-law John Dawson [Mary], Son-in-law David Delemere [Elizabeth] , Margaret m ? Sims, Francina m Samuel Boyard, and Wife Bridget [Belaine Robinson], Note: Bridget Belaine Robinson was the last wife of Francis Mauldin. Her first husband was John Robinson who died 1719. Francis and Bridget had one son - Joseph b c 1723. It is believed that Bridget married third the Rev Hugh Jones.

AUNT: Grace Mauldin, who married Henry Mitchell (?-1701).

BROTHERS OR HALF BROTHERS: Thomas; William (1689-?); and James (1695-1726).

SISTERS OR HALF SISTERS: Magdalen; Margaret (1692-?), who married in 1725 James Kirshaw; Sarah (1698-?), who married (first name unknown) Clagett; and Elizabeth, who married (first name unknown) Heigh.

To eld. son Francis and hrs., dwelling plantation, being the lowest part of “Collets Town;” part of the land and marsh bought of James Roberts (for desc. see will); sd. son dying without issue to pass to son Joseph and hrs. To son Benjamin and hrs., “Timberneck Plantation” and all the land and marsh bought of James Roberts, exclusive of that before mentioned. Sons Francls and Benjamin to pay certain sums to their brother Joseph when he arrives of age. To 3 sons and 5 daus. (unnamed), personal estate equally. Son-in-law Zebulon Hollingsworth to have certain personalty at appraised value. Sons to be for themselves at age of 18. Should son-in-law John Dawson bring any charge against the estate it shall be abated or barred out of his wife's share. Wife Bridget, extx.

Overseers: Edward Johnson, John Kinkey, Thomas Johnson, Nicholas Hyland and Zebulon Hollingsworth.

Test: Walter Hacket, John Copson, Thomas Johnson, Jr., John Kankey.

Codicil: 2nd Sept., 1734. Should extx. die before all or any of child. come to age of 21 yrs., Nicholas Hyland and Zebulon Hollingsworth are to act as guardians and pay to them their proper portions as they come of age.
