Biography

John was born in 1753. He was the son of Richard Maunsell and Helena Maria Toler.

He entered Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland on 11 July 1789 aged 16 years.

He was admitted to The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, commonly known simply as Middle Temple in 1774 entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.[1]

He lived at Carrickoreely, County Limerick, Ireland and also at Portarlington, County Laois, Ireland.

John married Anne Webster (daughter of Edward Webster) in November 1780. They had 3 children.

His wife Anne passed away and he married, secondly, Anne Handcock (daughter of Very Rev. Richard Handcock and Sarah Toler) on 20 June 1793. They had no children.

He passed away on 27 July 1829.
