Biography

William was born in 1626. William Maxey passed away in 1656. [1]

In FamilySearch Family Tree. Sir William Maxey is sourced as born England and born VA, but had to be born in England. Children listed were born in both England & VA and it is unlikely that he had children born in both places at alternate periods (& children have been duplicated). Edward Maxey JR is thought to be son of Edward Sr; Edward JR immigrated from England and was an indentured servant of William Byrd. William Maxey DOB cannot be correct or DOD is incorrect; see duplicate William born England & died VA. Also could not be married before born.[2]
