Biography

William was born on 13 February 1791 in Turkey Neck Bend, Monroe, Kentucky, USA. He was the son of William Maxey I and Nancy Anna (Williams) Maxey.[1]

Military Service: 1812 in Kentucky Militia 7th Regiment/Kentucky, USA.[2]

When William was 22 he married Elizabeth Lucas Gee on 12 August 1813 in Monroe, Kentucky, United States. The couple had 9 children: William Smith Maxey, Sarah Ann Maxey, John Edward Maxey, Isabella Lucas Maxey, Radford Josiah Maxey, Nimrod M Maxey, Pennington Gee Maxey, Mary Rice Maxey and Lucy Jane Maxey.[3]

In the 1850 census William (age 59) was living in Monroe, Kentucky.[1]

In the 1860 census William (age 69) was living in Monroe, Kentucky, United States.[4]

In the 1870 census William (age 79) was living in Precinct 4, Monroe, Kentucky, United States.[5]

William died at the age of 86 on 5 October 1877 in Monroe, Kentucky, USA. [6]
