Biography

William was born on 13 February 1791 in Turkey Neck Bend, Monroe, Kentucky, USA. He was the son of William Maxey I and Nancy Anna (Williams) Maxey.^[1]

Military Service: 1812 in Kentucky Militia 7th Regiment/Kentucky, USA.^[2]

When William was 22 he married Elizabeth Lucas Gee on 12 August 1813 in Monroe, Kentucky, United States. The couple had 9 children: William Smith Maxey, Sarah Ann Maxey, John Edward Maxey, Isabella Lucas Maxey, Radford Josiah Maxey, Nimrod M Maxey, Pennington Gee Maxey, Mary Rice Maxey and Lucy Jane Maxey.^[3]
