Louisa was born in 1857. She was the daughter of Daniel Maxey and Mary Esther Holcomb.
Her parents Daniel and Esther moved from Warrick, Indiana to Wayne county, Illinois. Louisa was on the 1860 census in Wayne county.[1] She was listed as born in Indiana. The other censuses listed her as born in Illinois.
Louisa was in Hickory Hill, Wayne, Illinois with her widowed mother and her siblings in 1870.[2]
Louisa married Jonathan Scott Austin about 1878. They had several children.
In 1880, Scott and Louisa were in Four Mile, Wayne, Illinois with their two oldest sons Samuel and Charley.[3]
She passed away in 1887 and was buried in Salem cemetery in Keens, Wayne county, Illinois.[4]
