Margaret was the daughter of Mary Maxwell and possibly illegitimate daughter of Patrick Timoney (dec'd by 1895)

Made at 11am on 29 Jan 1901 (three hours after her mother died ) gives her name as Margaret Maxwell Loyd. (Loyd has been scored through.) Age 39 (dob 1862) Applies for admission to Poorhouse.
Residence - 20 South Shamrock St -low 1st door "Cowans." Born - Londonderry, Parents given as james Loyd, Fireman, dead and Mary Maxwell at above address. (in pencil Pat Tominey) Religion RC - status Single
For last 10 or 12 years applicant has had no fixed place of abode living in lodgings and models all over the City. Moncur St, High St, Rose St, Commercial Rd. Also frequently in service for short periods in Cathcart, Pollokshields, Gallowgate. Frequently in prison. No settlement by residence.
Certified - bad burn. Applies for Poorhouse, no means. A very doubtful character. Barony and City records searched - no trace.
Admitted to Poorhouse Jan 1901 - note dated 22 May 1901 - unfit for removal. Left Poor house 12 Sept 1901.
1903 - Margaret marries John Farrell - licensed broker age 35 (DOB -1868). Strangely the marriage is not registered until 12 Sep 1913 - a year after Margaret dies (per her death cert). The marriage cert states the marriage was 2 june 1903 at 35 Hutchison St, Glasgow - by declaration in presence of George Bowie - iron moulder and Mary Jane Maxwell - hair spinner.
Margaret's age is given as 30 (DOB 1873)
1912 _Margaret dies on 21 Sep 1912 - Her death cert is in the name of Margaret Farrell - married to John Farrell - licensed broker. Her age is given as 41 (dob 1871) She would have been nearer 52. She died at 167 Renfrew St, Govan ( a stamp is used so must be some kind of hospital etc - per google it is the address of Govan Poorhouse/hospital ) former PA given as 113 Rose St, Glasgow. Informant is her brother Patrick Maxwell his address given as 113 Rose St. Where is John Farrell at this point ??
