Biography

Elbert was born in 1872. He was the son of William Maxwell and Reliefe Cass. He passed away in 1957. [1]

He was buried in Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside, Cook County, Illinois, Lot 327, Section 18. His wife Anna Marie, daughter Helen Mae Spencer, and her husband Chester Howard Spencer are also buried with him.

Death notice from the Chicago Daily News, 26 August 1957. "MAXWELL-Elbert L. Maxwell, 8452 Bennett Ave., Aug. 25, 1957, husband of the late Marie Kelly Maxwell, father of Mildred Gordon and the late Helen Spencer, grandfather of Eddie-Spencer. At chapel, 2024 E. 75th-St. at Jeffery-Blvd., where services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 1 p. m. Internment Oakridge. Fairfax 4-7177".

Elbert was buried in Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside, Cook County, Illinois, Lot 327, Section 18. His wife Anna Marie, daughter Helen Mae Spencer, and her husband Chester Howard Spencer are also buried with him.
