This Peter MAY is buried in the "May" Cemetery, Grantham Twp, Believe his first wife is buried there too??[1]
The Upper Canada Land Petition of Peter MAY dated 17 Aug 1795 stated that he was the son of William MAY served seven years with Butler's Rangers. He was granted Lot 21, Concessions 2, Grantham Twp, Lincoln Co. on Twelve Mile Creek & was named on it in the 1791 & 1794 surveyors map. He was given Crown Patent dated 31 Aug 1803. His homestead called "Mayholme" is now on Ontario Street in the north part at of St. Catharines, Ontario.
The will of Peter May gave his son John 70 pounds & 100 acres of land when he came of age.
