Biography
In 1900, William and Mary May were farming near Abbott in Floyd County, Kentucky. At the time they had been married 26 years and of the 12 children borne by Mary, 11 were still living. Residing on the farm with their parents were Willie (6), Florie (14), Alice (13), Mollie (16), Lora B (11), Marcos (6) and Alma (1). On the same Census page are Frank and Catherine May, married just one year.[1]
In 1920, George and Flora Music were farming near Riceville in Johnson County, Kentucky. Residing on the farm were children Harry (13), John L (11), Frank (8), Beatrice (5), Joe (3) and Opal (1). Also resident was Mary May (63), Flora's mother.[2]
