Biography

Susannah was born in Ohio [2] in 1813 to John [3] and Catherine (Miller) May. She married Samuel Sitner in 1831 in Columbiana County, Ohio. They raised a family of 11 children. Susannah died in 1863 and was buried in Unity Brick Church Cemetery in Columbiana County, Ohio [4 & 5]

3. John wrote his will January 2, 1863. In it he named his wife Catherine and his children: Hiram, Jacob, Mary Yarian, Susannah Sidler, Sophia Flohr, Catherine Yarian, Elizabeth Heck, and Rebecca Heck. He appointed his sons Jacob and Hiram as executors. [Recorded in Mahoning County, Ohio Record of Wills, Volume 2, pages 417-418. Case #1115].
