Marguerite Mayeaux (or Mayeux) was born about 1732 in Pointe Coupée Post, Louisiana, Nouvelle-France, a daughter of Pierre Francois Mayeux (c.1697–1747) and Marie Francoise Cellier (c.1707–1739).

Marguerite (16) married Antoine Patin (26) (born about 1722 at Bayou Goula, Louisiana; son of Antoine Patin and Marie Gasparde de Monette) on June 2, 1749 in Point Coupée Post, Louisiana.^[1]
