Biography

Marguerite Mayeaux (or Mayeux) was born about 1732 in Pointe Coupée Post, Louisiana, Nouvelle-France, a daughter of Pierre Francois Mayeux (c.1697–1747) and Marie Francoise Cellier (c.1707–1739).

Marguerite (16) married Antoine Patin (26) (born about 1722 at Bayou Goula, Louisiana; son of Antoine Patin and Marie Gasparde de Monette) on June 2, 1749 in Point Coupée Post, Louisiana.[1]

Their known children were:

After Antoine's 1768 death, Marguerite married Guillaume Andre (born in 1735 in St. Jean Baptiste, Louisiane; son of Antoine Joseph Andre and Maria Magdelena Schmidt) c.1770, probably in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.

  1. Madeleine Andre (1778–1848)

Marguerite died on March 12, 1812 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana, aged about 79.[3]

Note: I merged two profiles for this person, and they had different birth dates. You might want to double check her birth date to be sure this one is the right one.
