Biography

Hugh C Mayes was born on April 26, 1849 in DeKalb, Alabama, United States, son of Stephen Mayes (1804–1872) and Vianah Green (1812–1884).[1] [2] [3] [4]

In 1850, Hugh C (1) Mays was in the household of Stephen Mays in DeKalb, Alabama, [1]

In 1860, Hugh C (11) was in the household of his father, Stephen, in Division 2, DeKalb, Alabama. [2]

In 1870, Hugh (21) was in the household of his father, Stephen. [3]
