Biography

Vada Evergreen Mayes was born on August 14, 1895 in Marshall, Alabama, United States, daughter of Jesse N Mayes (1858–1909) and Martha L Gautney (1862–1927).[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

In 1900, Vada E (4) was in the household of her father, Jesse. [1]

In 1910, Vada (14) was in the household of her mother, Martha, in Thompson, Marshall, Alabama. [2]

Vada (15) married Oliver Garfield Bearden (17) (born January 23, 1894 in Marshall County, Alabama) on July 23, 1911 in Home of Bride, Marshall County, Alabama.[6]

In 1920, Vada (24) was in the household of Oliver T Bearden. [3]

In 1930, Vada E (34) was living in Election Precinct 19 Poplar Springs, DeKalb, Alabama. [4]

Vada died on July 22, 1969 in Boaz, Marshall, aged 73. She was buried in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asbury.[6] [7] [8] [9]
